At the Terrace Hearing Clinic, we strive to provide the perfect match between your individual hearing loss, your individual lifestyle and your new hearing instruments.
The hearing aids and your hearing system are both complex systems. We offer complex sound processing strategies to help your hearing system manage a complex auditory world:
Not always are the most expensive models, the most effective technology for your needs. As with most things in life, there is a balance to be made between what is necessary and what is affordable. We will guide you through those decisions.
Hearing aids selected, fit, and programmed by a university-trained Audiologist with years of experience can ensure that you are wearing the hearing aids best suited for hearing loss, your lifestyle, your health considerations, and of course, your budget.
Are you a gadget person? The more to fiddle with, the better?
We have remote controls, blue-tooth technology, mobile-phone and Ipod and mp3-player compatible devices, TV listening, and many other technologies available.
We also have fully automatic systems that you just insert and forget: they monitor the environment and control noise and help you focus on your conversations without fussing with controls or gadgets.
We have small! The open-ear hearing aids that are not very visible, or we have small completely-in-the-canal hearing instruments that hide completely in the ear canal.
Are you a practical person? Just get me hearing!
We have fuller sizes that provide more options for things like background noise control and telephone use, and ease of cleaning and battery-changing.
We have rechargeable hearing aids with rechargeable batteries you change once a year or hearing aids with the battery built into the hearing aid that you never change, just charge!
All professionally fit and sound-optimized individually for you.
We are a service provider for several hearing aid provider programs: part of the WorksafeBC provider network, Provider of NIHB MS&E Services (First Nations Health Benefits), VAC Health Identification cards accepted (Veteran’s Affairs), RCMP Health Identification cards accepted, and others. If there’s a program you are eligible for, we’ll help you find it.
