There are two types of hearing evaluation you can have:
Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation: this is a complete evaluation of your hearing geared toward obtaining accurate hearing loss information for choosing and eventually fitting hearing aids, determining a therapy plan, or to make a medical referral.
Hearing Screening: a basic threshold evaluation that determines whether there is hearing loss or normal hearing.

DIAGNOSTIC HEARING EVALUATIONS
We provide complete diagnostic hearing evaluations, whether you came to us as a result of a physician referral or you found us yourself. Your ears will be physically examined, your hearing assessed, and you will be provided with a diagnosis of what kind of hearing loss you have, and whether you need to be referred for more medical assessment and treatment, or whether your hearing loss requires the rehabilitation skills of an Audiologist (click on that word to learn more about what an Audiologist is), here at our clinic.
With your permission, a report of the results will be forwarded to your family physician, so that your health information is consolidated with your physicians records.

A complimentary (no-charge) option is available to help you determine whether you have hearing loss at all. In this test, your sensitivity for sounds will be assessed, helping you to decide whether you need or want a full diagnostic evaluation.
